Genki Television
Genki Television, abbreviated GTV, is an Internet video broadcast that began as an alternative way to deliver information on the Genki website about progress made by the Genksters in planning the convention. It was inspired by participant feedback during a panel at Genki 2009 where some participants noted that the website had too many 'walls of text' and that they wanted information delivered in a different way.
Setup
Each episode is hosted by main host, Allan Petersen, and a special guest host which changes from episode to episode. Each episode is limited to bringing up a total of 3-4 issues, news, or questions from people writing to the info mail or in the comment section, in order to keep the episodes relatively short (below 5 minutes). The episodes have thus far all been recorded at Petersen's home.
2010 change
In February 2010, the format was changed from pre-recorded and editted episodes to LiveStreams and recordings on an impulse idea by Victor M. Alring during a Genki-related meeting between himself and Petersen. On February 16th, the same day of the meeting, they had a test-run of the with four (4) viewers, both Swedish and Danish, where they would answer Genki-related questions live while working on the computers.
The test episode lasted for roughly 57 minutes and the general feedback was positive. The test episode was deleted upon completion, but future episodes will automatically be stored on the Genki Channel where one can see episodes live during streams, chat live with the Genksters streaming, as well as watch old episodes from the library.
LiveStream account deleted
The LiveStream account has been deleted at some point before the third of July 2010.
The time is currently unknown due to the person who discovered this, isn't a part of the Genki team.
