Genki
Genki, sometimes also unofficially called Genki-con or Genkicon, is a Danish anime convention organized by a group of volunteers known as Genksters. It is held over a three-days-two-nights period from Friday to Sunday, but currently has no set date of the year. It however markets itself as a 'summer con' and is confined to that season, though smaller events hosted by Genki are held all year round, such as Genki ½. The main agenda of Genki is to promote all parts of Japanese pop-culture as equally as possible in order to please as many people as possible.
Programme
Genki's broad focus allows it to offer a wide range of activities in order to cater to the desires and interests of a large, varied audience. These activites include, but are not limited to, music, anime cinemas, art room, events, cosplay show, concerts, panels, and workshops.
History
Genki was originally set to debut in 2010, giving the organizers almost a full 15 months to plan the con, however, a sudden offer by Valby Kulturhus to use their building for free gave the organizers a chance to organize a beta-con. The beta-con was meant to be a testing ground of sorts for ideas and events with the trade-off being only having two months to organize everything and a limited number of participants (200).
Mascots

Genki has two mascots, a little hyper-active fan girl named Ping and her hand-puppet named Pong. Both were drawn by artist Fei Huang and has since their conception been made into perler beads, had contests about colouring their line art, and been turned into badges (using the original drawing by Huang as well as new drawings of Pong by Søren Michelsen).
