Battery Boy and Wing Girl are the mascots of the convention, J-Popcon, and get their names from the battery packs they wear as rucksacks. Battery Boy and Wing Girl are re-drawn for every new J-Popcon convention, often, though not always, by a different artist. Because of this, and the lack of historical documentiation by the convention, it is not generally known who drew the original Battery Boy and Wing Girl, nor who has re-drawn them for each respective convention.
