Ping and Pong are the official mascots for Genki and were drawn by Fei Huang, also known as KaikiFreAk or simply Kaiki. They were drawn several months in advance of the 2009 beta con, but were not named until roughly a month after the con had ended during an online conversation between Huang and Allan Petersen, one of the main organizers. Before having been named, they were known simply as the mascot girl and the hand puppet.
